Istanbul filmfest to host Iranian ‘The Unseen’

Iranian ‘The Unseen’ is to go on screen at the Istanbul Int’l filmfest in Turkey.

Iranian animated documentary ‘The Unseen’ has been scheduled for screening at the Istanbul International Film Festival (iKSV) in Turkey.

Directed by Behzad Nalbandi, the Iranian film is picked as one of the 21 works to compete at the 39th edition of the Turkish event.

According to the official website of the fest, all the screenings are set to be held online and the designated slot for ‘The Unseen’ is on December 15.

‘The Unseen’ is an attempt to show the pains and miseries the homeless people, especially women, must endure.

A city is about to receive some high-ranking guests, so the officials take all the hobos off the streets, in order to beautify the face of the city.

Among the incarcerated people are some men who will get their release within two or three days after their arrest, but the women will get a vague destiny.

The flick has already participated in a number of global fests, including the Krakow Film Festival in Poland, the DMZ International Doc Film Festival in South Korea, and the Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival in Canada.

Headed by Mohammad Atyabi, the Iranian Independents film distributing company is in charge of foreign screenings of ‘The Unseen’.

The iKSV is Turkey’s oldest running international film event.

The fest is annually held in April, but this year due to the pandemic, it has been postponed for an online version on December 4-24.
